    It is about 240 k.ms. away from Port Blair and accessible by Road as well as Sea from Port Blair. Presently it is the headquaters for North & Middle Andaman District. Karmatang Beach (North Andaman) about 10 k.m. from Maya Bunder is this beach.     38 Kms from Port Blair by sea. This is an enchanting Island with rare corals and under water marine life, a fine sandy beach and tropical rain forest. Scuba Diving, snorkeling etc. are the major attraction for the tourists visiting Havelock Island.

    It is around 105 Kms. away from Port Blair. It is one of the main Island of Andaman group, a small land mass of about 22 Kms length with Middle Andaman to its North and South Andaman to its south. The road journey from Port Blair to Baratang through the evergreen dense tropical rainforest is surely be a life time experience. It is also refrerred as “land of natural wonders” since it has the mud volcanoes and the natural lime stone caves apart from Beaches & mangrove frilled creeks. The most important tourist spot at Baratang is the Parrot Island”. Lalaji Bay Beach in Long Island and Merk Bay Beach can easily be covered as day trip from here.
